Henri Coanda International Airport (also called Otopeni Airport) is the biggest and busiest airplane terminal in Romania. The airport is named after the flight pioneer Henri Coanda. Henri Coanda International Airport is located 16.5 kilometers northwest of the city of Bucharest on the road DN-1 (E60) towards Ploiesti/Brasov.

There are several transfer methods between Henri Coanda International Airport and Bucharest:
Transfer by Bus | This is the cheapest and the best way of transfer between Bucharest and Otopeni Airport. Transfer by Metro | Please note that for the moment there is no subway connection between Bucharest and Henry Coanda Airport. |
Transfer by Taxi | Inside the arrivals terminal, there is a touch screen device , which you can use to order a taxi. You can even choose the company you want to use (the tariff is displayed for each taxi company). All the taxis are yellow, they have the "Taxi" sign above and the operation license and the tariffs on the doors, outside. The tariff is between 1.39 lei/km - 3.5 lei/km.
